As chief financial officer and chief operating officer of the Kansas Bioscience Authority, Janice Katterhenry uses a wealth of business expertise to advance Kansas’ leadership in bioscience research, commercialization, and job creation.
With more than 20 years of hands-on finance and accounting practice, she has extensive experience with public offerings, mergers, acquisitions, and the formation of collaborative agreements. Prior to joining the KBA, Mrs. Katterhenry was chief financial officer for both growth and publicly-traded companies, such as Benchmark Biolabs in Prairie Village, Kan.; EPIQ Systems in Kansas City, Kan.; Syntro Corporation in Lenexa, Kan.; and Butler National Corporation in Olathe, Kan. She also has worked for JK Financial Services, Midwest Research Institute, Butler Manufacturing Company, and Ernst & Young.
Mrs. Katterhenry earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kansas State University and her master’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is a member of Financial Executives International, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Kansas Society of CPAs, and the Missouri Society of CPAs.
