Heartland BioVentures (HBV) is the Kansas Bioscience Authority’s business assistance program to facilitate risk capital investment in Kansas bioscience companies.

The goal of HBV is to provide assistance to early stage bioscience firms to fundamentally address business, technology, management and other strategic issues critical to their success and, thus, improve their access to venture capital. In other words, our professionals help companies become venture-ready in the shortest amount of time possible while being capital efficient and leading to commercialization of the product or services.

The services, resources and networks of HBV and its partners are directed to bioscience and health care startups as they develop products, raise capital and go to market. Specific services include:

Management counsel and recruitment
Facilitation of clinical collaborations
Recalibration of business models, financial models, target markets, or commercialization strategies
Identification of funding sources
Business development
